Works great, very easy to install
I bought the M-PACT rough-in valve to use as part of a bathroom remodel at my home, and was pleasantly surprised at how easy it was to install. Everything worked exactly as it should the first time I turned the water on, and it works flawlessly with the Moen trim kit I bought to go with this. As another reviewer pointed out, I like the M-PACT concept of being able to switch out the trim kit should I decide to do so in the future. The total installation time for the kit on an unmounted sink was just under half an hour, and I was in no rush to install it, either. I have always thought that Moen was a great brand, and this product helps to cement that reputation.

replacement installation
Installation is a snap, but only if it is to be installed in a sink that is not installed. If you are replacing the faucet in a sink that is in place it becomes a nightmare. The hose connections are very simple. It is trying to tighten the 1-9/32" thin brass nut on the valves which is the problem. In designing the simple hose connections you now cannot get a socket up to the nut because of the 90 degree nipple for the snap on hose. One must first make a 1" thick shim (depending on the thickness of the basin) to allow enough space to even be able to get the nut down where you can work with it. Since there still is not enough room to get any kind of a wrench in there to tighten the nut you must fabricate a tool that will tighten it. The hardware stores also have no idea as to how to do it. I don't know why Moen doesn't provide a tool to do this or at least identify this problem and make some suggestions on how to accomplish this very frustrating task.
Worked just fine, M-PACT is a great idea
The valve worked as expected. I really like the M-PACT concept which makes it easy to just change the trim next time and not have to buy another valve.
